Two tips for IE7

First, restore the IE7 File menu

Open Registry Editor "Regedit.exe":

Locate the "HKEY_CURRENT_USER Software Microsoft Internet Explorer Toolbar WebBrowser" branch, if the branch does not exist, create it;

Create a DWORD (32-bit) registry key named "Itbar7position";

Set the "Itbar7position" value to "1".

This way, when you reopen IE7, you will see a traditional File menu bar similar to IE6, located above the toolbar.

Second, delete IE7 default search box

Open Registry Editor "Regedit.exe":

Locate the "HKEY_CURRENT_USER Software Policies Microsoft Internet Explorer infodelivery Restrictions" branch, if the branch does not exist, create it;

Create a DWORD (32-bit) registry key named "Nosearchbox";

Set the "Nosearchbox" value to "1".
