Recently in the study of Linux, reading examples (bird's Linux private dishes P674), using Tarball to install NTP, a bit of a problem, prompt error, using the./configure to detect the program, the following prompt appears:
Hint Openssl/evp.h this file or directory is missing. Baidu, found that may be the reason: you try to compile the program using OpenSSL, but need and OpenSSL linked files (libraries and header files) on your Linux platform is missing. (The original book is CentOS and I use Ubuntu16.04), so to install the relevant files yourself, you can install by the following command:
sudo apt-get install Libssl-dev
(Redhat and other platforms can use this command: sudo yum install openssl-devel)
After the installation, recompile the program, found that it is feasible, and then directly with the make command to install the line.
