Unknown system variable ' language '

The database for my project is mysql5.0, the driver is mysql-connector-java-5.1.36, the connection pool used is dbcp, and then the following error is reported:

Could not get JDBC Connection; Nested exception is org.apache.commons.dbcp.SQLNestedException:Cannot create Poolableconnectionfactory (Unknown System variable ' language ')

After searching online and experimenting with myself, I finally found out that the driver and the version of my database did not match, and finally changed the database driver to mysql-connector-java-5.1.5 to solve this error.
