The above figure shows a 4-window working mode that many people like very much. This mode is widely used by shell users. I once liked this method. Therefore, a function is specially written to automatically generate these interesting windows. This function is bound to the Ctrl-C 4 key combination.

This mode is simple and efficient, and can be both non-interference and clear at a glance. Right? Right? Right? Right? @_@
Why not? Of course, life will not always be so cheap. Such a window is always too small. Random LS-l or PS-ef
What will make it invisible, right? Even with visual-line mode, the display looks disgusting. So I often need to enter Ctrl-X 1

However, it is easy to zoom in and out. It seems that Emacs does not provide a method to narrow down the original window. Frequent and constant manual recovery of the previous four window configurations is quite intolerable.

We finally found that the winner mode of Emacs provides a good solution. One winner mode (winner-Undo)
Command, so that we can directly change the window before undo. This command is usually bound to Ctrl-C <left>
Key combination. With this command, everything becomes simple.
