1. Overview:

Use Remote Control in Configuration Manager for remote management, provide assistance, or view any client computer in the hierarchy. You can use remote control to solve hardware and software configuration problems on the client computer and provide the help desk to support access to the user's computer. Configuration Manager supports working group computers and remote control of computers in the Active Directory domain. In addition, Configuration Manager can configure the client to run Windows Remote Desktop and remote assistance.

2. Using Configuration Manager to configure remote control requires external dependency and mutual dependency

1) External Dependency: Computer Video Card Driver: ensure that the latest video driver is installed on the client computer to ensure optimal remote control performance.

2) operating systems supported by configuration manager2012 R2: Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows Server 2003, and Windows Server 2008

3) mutual dependency

A) You must enable remote control for the client. By default, Configuration Manager is not enabled for remote control.

B) Reporting Services: report service. Before the Administrator runs a remote control report, the website system role must be installed.

C) security permissions to manage remote control: Access Collection Resources and start remote control sessions from the Configuration Manager Console:Control AMT,Read,Read Resources, AndRemote ControlPermissionSetObject.

The following describes how to configure remote control.

1. log on to the Configuration Manager server and open the Configuration Manager Console.

2. Click Manage, right-click client settings, right-click Default Client settings, and click Properties.

8) allow authorized viewers to connect using Remote Desktop Connection: Yes

9) network-level authentication is required on computers running Windows Vista and later Operating Systems: Yes

8. log on to the client machine, open the control panel, and click Configuration Manager Client.

9. On the Configuration Manager Client properties page, click operations, click "Computer Policy retrieval and evaluation cycle", and click "Run now"
