Global setup:

Set up git config -- global user. Name "Richard" Git config -- global user. Email richard@gmail.com

Next steps:

Mkdir push-test CD push-test git init touch readme git add readme git commit-M 'first commit 'git remote add origin git@github.com: Richard/push-test.git git push-u origin master

Existing git Repo?

CD existing_git_repo git remote add origin git@github.com: Richard/push-test.git git push-u origin master

2. Update to GitHub.

Git push origin master

3. Add a new branch

Git Branch New-branch

Git push origin New-branch
