WeekdayName function

Returns a String that represents the day specified in the week.

WeekdayName(weekday, abbreviate, firstdayofweek)

Parameters

Weekday

Required option. A numeric definition of the day of the week. The numeric definitions for each day depend on the firstdayofweek parameter setting.

Abbreviate

Options available. Boolean value that indicates whether the name of the day of the week is abbreviated. If omitted, the default value is False, that is, the name of the day of the week is not abbreviated.

FirstDayOfWeek

Options available. Specify the number of the first day of the week. For numeric values, see the "Settings" section.

Set up

The FirstDayOfWeek parameter has the following values:

Vbsunday	1	Sunday (default)
Vbmonday	2	Monday
Vbtuesday	3	Tuesday
Vbwednesday	4	Wednesday

Description

The following example uses the weekdayname function to return a specified day:
