1. model document description
I have introduced several models of powerdesigner in the previous articles. If there are many models used in our project or there are many departments involved in the project, in this case, you can generate a model document to facilitate communication.
Role of the model document:
(1) generate standard or custom documents for each model and output files in the RTF or HTML Format
(2) Use the document template editor to provide unified and customized templates for Model Documents
(3) The document language editor provides various languages for model documents, enabling Model Documents to be internationalized.
(4) You can generate a single model document for each model or multiple model documents for several models.
The document model editor includes four tools:
(1) document template editor
(2) Document Editor
(3) multi-model document Editor
(4) language document Editor
Ii. Example
Here, only the model document generated by PDM is demonstrated.
Example PDM provided by PD:
Report → reports menu items
New Report:
In the new document window that appears, enter the document name and select the document language and template.
Adjust the content to be exported to the report:
Check: Show allitems to view all the options.
Right-click the item we want to add and click Add to add it to report items on the right.
Format the output, including:
(1) Adjust the project order
(2) set the title text and format
(3) define the table format
1) Add/Remove display Columns
2) Set column sorting
The report tool panel is not shown here. Call the following:
Tools --> customize toolbars --> check the report
Select different types of reports for export:
