[Email protected] is a Distributed Computing Project that studies protein folding, misfolding, aggregation, and related diseases. Proteins are the network basis of a biological system. 2 BOINC

BOINC is a computing platform. for volunteers, it provides a unified client program.

The client itself does not carry out actual computing work. It only provides management functions. After volunteers add computing projects on the BOINC platform, the client automatically downloads new task units, and call the computing program of the corresponding project for computing. Assume that worker has added multiple projects, and it will automatically allocate computing resources among various projects according to user settings. When the computing is complete, it also actively uploads the computing results and obtains new computing units at the same time. The platform has been mature after years of trial of multiple projects. Previously, Berkeley successfully executed the [email protected] project for more than six years.
