I am not a full-time VC + + developers, but sometimes to develop some C + + DLLs, whenever you want to release a new version, a bit longer than always forget where to set the build file version number.

Here to the VC + + set up the steps to record, in case you forget!

Setup Steps
  • To open the resource files directory in the solution browser

  • Double-click Open *.rc File
  • If there is no version folder, right-click and select "Add Resource" to create a new version.

  • Click on the submenu of the version folder to set the relevant makefile information in the VS editor, etc.
