According to the latest news, the world Wide Web Consortium is considering activating HTML standards that have been dormant for years.

A development group named WHATWG (Web Hypertext Application Technology Working Group), established in 2004, is looking at addressing these issues by issuing HTML5 standard Drafts, The plan replaces the existing HTML4 and XHTML standards.

The news said the work was supported by Apple, Opera and Mozilla.
