Who caused us to work overtime?

9 to 5 is the expected work status of everyone. So far, there is no chance to feel the pleasure of 9 to 5. Since taking over this PETT project, it is normal to work overtime at the company until every night, after returning home for dinner, around 9 o'clock, the customer thought that our development was too inefficient and changed to resident development.

When I first came to the factory, I was not used to it. I arranged to stay with the female workers in the factory. The quilt I prepared was covered by people who came to work in the factory. It was very fashionable and special. After staying for one night, I got my towel at home and it was much more comfortable.

Developed in the factory, it is required to go back to the dormitory at every day, but we usually go back to the dormitory at every day. Besides lunch and dinner time, we work 11-12 hours a day. Besides daily overtime, at least one day of overtime on weekends!

There are about 10 field developers, and customers are reminded and managers every day. Why?

First of all, this project is a small workshop-style development. After receiving this project, the partner once talked about the use of the flowchart, and the first process was developed. This kind of development will not design the database until you have understood all the requirements, nor will you write the code after you have designed everything.

 

Related to the development team

If the team is strong enough and no work will be done after any function is completed, I think our work efficiency will be faster. No matter how good a leader is, how can we develop quickly without a good team member? The manager sometimes says that we need agile development. How can our team be truly agile?

 

Project Prediction

No one can take us with us and rely on ourselves. Even in factory development, the three developers from the development team also came over the other partner for the past two days. The manager often said that you should think differently. If you are an agent, what kind of interface do you want? What kind of functions do you want? We are not agents, and we have never done the work done by agents. So our empathy is not good enough, we can only make every node in the process, and then wait for the customer to feedback the information, and then change it.

 

Management not in place

This day, I am not a wage payer. Although the manager has arranged for me to be the group leader, it is normal for someone to be disobedient.

Every task arrangement is a headache for me. Because one of my colleagues is not very familiar with programming, I almost have to modify the tasks assigned to him, and I cannot consider the logic and details. Sometimes I want to tell him about his business. If I do not want the effect I want for a long time, I do not want to do it myself. It is estimated that I am wrong with this idea. I am not competent by Mr Mi, it is easy to understand things that are hard to understand.

 

Incorrect positioning

When I started the project, I thought: after the project was received by the partner, I learned about the needs of the past two months. The results showed me the requirements, but I didn't have any details, the requirement document only outlines the process.

In fact, this development is examining our capabilities. We cannot make what people want within the prescribed time. That is to say, we are not capable enough and have insufficient experience.

The end time of the project development last weekend is 20 days. The project is tight, the task is heavy, and overtime work is normal. We hope to finish the project early to satisfy our customers, also give an explanation to the manager.
