Why do I not like Qihoo?

Source: Internet

First, I declare that I am not a title party and do not mean to start Qihoo. At the same time, I often read the blog of Zhou Hongyi and learned a lot. However, I still don't like Qihoo. Of course, its marketing is quite successful.

Qihoo started out as a community-based search service, and its positioning was also very characteristic (I don't want to talk too much about the content farming problem here), and soon got the financing. However, he was not satisfied with this. He expanded the search field and started his blog and Web search. But in this way, we lose our own characteristics. Hong Yu also understands that the Chinese Web search market is dangerous, and Baidu, the boss, cannot be used by anyone. In addition, Google, a foreign company, is also regarded as a powerful search company.

Hung Hom was a good guy and thought of a work ing method. Google gave me a concise wave, and the home page had a search box. Qihoo does the opposite. It organizes the captured content by editing, and the search technology is gradually transformed into a content portal behind the scenes. The latest version of http://www.qihoo.com/has no effect on this figure. The content is not easy. the tactics of the traditional Sina portal show that they are unwilling to pay the cost. After all, Hung Hom is a typical businessman.

One of those who do not like Qihoo: the ever-changing website Alliance
Hong Yu is an impatient temper. It is unrealistic to make content more profitable, and he has no intention of contributing anything to the Chinese Internet. Google's website Alliance model is also adopted by Hung Hom. It can quickly expand its user base and identify small websites with good traffic and content, but it is difficult to survive, A large amount of content and traffic are blocked. On the Internet where big fish eat small fish, webmasters who lack profit models can only accept it, and there is no more controversy. However, Qihoo is unwilling to do that like Google, and the traffic has been brought to others in vain. As a result, the transfer page became a special feature of Qihoo, the "website Alliance. This completely changes the taste of the website alliance. Not only does it forcibly use the Framework to change the link to itself, but the transfer page shows almost the core content of the original text and is full of its own content. In a word, you should stop visiting the Alliance website. The Alliance has become a standalone charity. Qihoo, on the one hand, sells their own big ads through the aggregated traffic, and on the other hand, provides content to the websites, giving them a small discount based on the "fair" Alliance nature.

Do not like Qihoo II: An impetuous Internet ethos
With a group of people advocating web, the Internet in China has been overwhelmed. This leads to websites for individuals. In fact, the reason why I want to use 2.0 to catch up with the old portal is that the old portal has a high threshold and is almost insurmountable and replicated. The website Alliance seems to give a hope to a website that does not find a profit model. There are fewer and fewer content in a down-to-earth Manner. Large websites want to be the upstream of the Alliance and aggregate smaller websites for level-1 exploitation. The Internet in China has been hyped up and aggregated, with fewer and fewer high-quality content. There are not a few people who want to publish content by aggregating other people. The website alliance was not invented by Qihoo. However, this overly commercialized website alliance has indeed affected the Chinese Internet.

Do not like Qihoo 3: copyright awareness trampled
Qihoo's website is filled with the following words: "The above content is from the Internet. Qihoo only provides natural search results and has nothing to do with the content source. Some search results may be copyrighted. If you need to use them, we recommend that you contact the owner of the relevant website for authorization ." On the one hand, Qihoo recommends the searched content for clicks regardless of copyright. On the other hand, Qihoo also avoids its copyright legal liability. This is undoubtedly a loophole in China's Internet. The Weak copyright awareness is a cancer of China's technology industry, and it is now trampled on.

Qihoo 4: "rogue software"
I don't like the term "rogue software", because it is normal to take over the way users' desktops make profits. However, the 360 safe, hold on to the situation where users hate rogue software and will not handle it. Using the so-called free use of Kaspersky's sweetness to entice people to install the software under the banner of eliminating "rogue software. In fact, it still achieves the purpose of occupying the user's desktop. It is also difficult to ensure that plug-ins will not be installed in 360safe. Obviously, it is one thing. What should we do if we are not doing exactly what we mean?

Finally, these are just some of my personal ideas and I am not dissatisfied with Zhou Hongyi himself. One website, one product, and one service cannot satisfy 100% of users. This time, I happened to be on the side of a few dissatisfied people.
