Win7 after installing VC6.0, clicking on the Open button crashes as shown, because the Win7 system kernel conflicts with some components of vc6.0.


Microsoft has released a patch for this issue, FileTool.dll

Copy the FileToll.dll file to VC6 after download. 0 of the installation directory, my directory is: D:\Program Files (x86) \microsoft Visual Studio\common\msdev98\addins

Open cmd as administrator to register, regsvr32 "D:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio\common\msdev98\addins\filetool.dll",

Prompt successfully, open VC6.0, right-click the toolbar, select Custom---> Add-ons and macro files, check filetool Developer Studio add-in add -ons

At this point, A and O's File bar buttons will be available, then you can use a to add files and projects, open the project with O
