Because the default method of IE is automatic identification encoding. However, some browser users will set IEAS gb2312 in Chinese. If your webpage code is a UTF-8, but the file is not a real UTF-8, there will be a blank space when browsing. Right-click the IE code into a UTF-8, the page content instantly appears.

This usually happens when your original web page is gb2312, you use the Web Editor to set the web page encoding to a UTF-8, And Then paste the HTML source code. Web code turned into a UTF-8, but the file itself has not become a real UTF-8.
