How can I use the Internet to search for documents?
The development of modern network technology makes it easier for people to obtain information resources. In the document collection process, making full use of network resources can often get twice the result with half the effort.
There are two ways to collect resources using the Network: one is in the selection stage, there is no paper direction, and you want to find a proper direction to do it, in this case, you can search for "Review" and "survey" on the Internet, read some literature reviews, and find the directions you are interested in. The other is that you have determined the general direction, if you want to know the progress of this research field, you should consult experts in this field to find out who are the cool people in this field and search for their articles-foreign traditions, many Magazines will invite talented people to review their achievements and progress in a certain field-only those who know who are the distinguished representatives of this field, it is possible to experience the exciting development in this field from the works of these people.

I will also talk about the network search skills:

Www.google.com is definitely a good library. It is the world's largest search engine and supports Chinese and English searches. If you already know the name of an article, you may wish to enter the name and read it. Here I would like to say more, because the full text of foreign papers is usually in pdf format, therefore, you may add "[PDF]" before the name of the Input Paper. For example, you can use "[PDF] + A survey of policate Governance" as a keyword search, this will help you to limit your search for the full text of the paper in pdf format. You can easily find the full text of "A summary of Corporate Governance" by llsv (1997), a four-person Study of Corporate Governance.

However, the full text searched by Google is often only working paper without the serial number of the magazine, so it is inconvenient to reference it in the paper. It is also easy to search for published papers. At present, the School of Management has purchased EBSCO and other foreign language databases. These databases provide a large number of papers in full, especially documents after 1990s, it is easy to query. If you still cannot find the required papers through these full-text databases, you may wish to write down the journal page number (for reference convenience) and search for its working paper on Google.

If Google cannot collect the data, you can search for the author's homepage,If you still do not have it, you can try to directly write a letter to ask for it through the author's email address.. My experience is enthusiastic. If these methods fail, you can check the domestic collections in EBSCO and ask for help. Generally, most of the classic papers will be posted online, none of the above methods can get a document, either reluctantly give up, or only seek help from foreign friends, or indirectly reference it from other documents.

The collection of literature is also worth mentioning. Foreign papers have been published for a long time. The papers we see now may actually be those of the past two or three years ago. Therefore, to grasp the research trends, we 'd better look at the working paper, in this way, you can understand what others are studying. In addition, the good working paper you read when you started the doctoral thesis. When you write your doctoral thesis, this working paper has probably already been published. At this time, you may wish to go online and check its published journals, if the published information is listed in your reference documents, the comments in your documents will be more standardized and take into account the requirements of the latest documents.

Finally, I would like to list a few of my frequently used Working Paper download websites for free: Ideas (http://ideas.repec.org/), NBER (www.nber.org ), there are also many universities and research institutes that offer their work papers free of charge, such as the idei (http://idei.fr/presentation.php) created by Professor Laffont ). There are so many websites that you can learn how to use them. I will not talk more here. Jestor, econbase, sciencedirect and so on are also good databases, but they need to be paid
