A magic calligraphy software: ougishi Lite

Recently I am bored and have found such a software: ougishi lite, which can convert any handwritten text into a calligraphy font, and there are multiple styles to choose from, the text processed by the script is really a master‑level font. Let's just look at the words I wrote:

Then, with the "transform representation" function of the software, you only need to click a button to see that my words gradually become distorted. After a few seconds, it becomes like this:

The next pen's weight, stroke, and arc equivalent results are all coming out, which looks a lot better... I just used the font "Row book". This time I switched to the "Book body" menu and selected "grass book". The font immediately became like this:

There are many other fonts, such as Wang Xiaozhi, Su Shi, and Huang tingjian. I will not post the results one by one.

After playing around, I came back and noticed that there were various parameters in the upper-right corner of the software, such as "pen pulse", "weight", "continuous", "width", and "suppression, the fonts selected just now are actually just a series of built-in templates of the author. For example, the fonts of "Row books" and "Wang Xiaozhi" are different, there are only two different parameters: "collapse" and "pen pulse", so there is no big difference between them. The "continuous" font has reached the maximum value, the result is that all strokes seem to be connected. From this, we can see that the author has made great research on all kinds of Calligraphy fonts and quantified them. Then, through computer computing, we can simulate the calligraphy of various families. It is really high.

I still don't have to worry about it. I took a look at the software with exists and found that the software stores a lot of BMP files. Of course, the content of these pictures is just a straight line, a hook, and so on, it is estimated that the author uses the combination of these images to generate a font, and the entire software is only 1.28 MB (not compressed), admire!

Finally, I have to mention that this software was developed in Japan. It seems that no one in China has developed similar software. It is because Chinese programmers are busy with livelihood, do you not want to develop such software that cannot bring practical benefits, or is it because no one cares about the National Quintessence? Chinese calligraphy has been thoroughly learned by the Japanese, sadly!
