About Java Method overloading

Today in the project to find a problem, if there are two methods are overloaded, and their parameters are the parent class, one is a subclass, then the call will call which function?

A test was made to find that the child class was called.

Example:

 Public class Animal {    public  Animal () {}    }

One of his subclasses:

 Public class extends Animal {    public  Cat () {}}

Then implement two methods in the test class:

class test{    publicstaticvoid  main (string[] args) {        new Cat ();        Animaltest (cat);    }     Private Static void Animaltest (Animal a) {        System.out.println ("Wawa");    }     Private Static void Animaltest (Cat a) {        System.out.println ("Miao");}    }

Operation Result:

Miao

If cat is declared as animal, then the running result becomes Wawa, go back to complement the Java polymorphism, and then come back to update.
