Add "File Browser"-general Linux technology-Linux technology and application information to Fluxbox. The following is a detailed description. I am currently using fluxbox, a lightweight WM (Window Management System), to replace my gnome interface. The main reason is that the cpu is slow, and gnome is getting more and more gorgeous, not what I want. Using Linux is to simply complete my work, and irrelevant things are not needed. At this time, I saw that fluxbox was introduced, so I tried it and thought it was what I wanted. You can simply complete your tasks.
However, fluxbox does not have a file browser by default, especially when viewing some images/pdf files, it is not convenient to use command lines. So I thought of using a gui file browser. After using konqueror, I still feel that nautilus is used to it.
The Gnome file browser Nautilus is also the gnome desktop shell. By default, a desktop window will be started when it is started. There will be your icons and wallpaper in this window.
This is not required in fluxbox, because fluxbox has its own desktop system. For a single file browsing, there is a desktop, which is a little redundant. I read the nautilus document (man nautilus). Why did I add it? The no-desktop parameter is enough.
Modified ~ /. Fluxbox/menu file, add the following line:
[Exec] (Nautilus) {nautilus? No-desktop}
In the right-click menu, there will be an extra Nautilus startup Item. Then, the "File Browser" nautilus itself will be started.
