Seventh chapter LAN Class fault
An example of a definition
This kind of fault mainly involves the fault in network environment such as LAN broadband network.
Second, possible phenomenon of failure
1, the NIC does not work, led state is not correct;
2, the network is not connected or only a few machines can not access the Internet, can ping but can not connect the network, slow transmission speed;
3. Data transmission error, network application error or crash, etc.
4, network work is normal, but a certain application can not use the network;
5, can only see themselves or individual computers;
6, no disk station can not access the Internet or start an error;
7, network equipment installation is abnormal.
8, the network time is not pass.
Iii. parts that may be involved
Network card, switch (including hub, router, etc.), network cable, motherboard, hard disk, power supply and other related components.
Iv. Points of judgement/order
1. Pre-Maintenance preparation
1 The available network cable (straight line and ordinary network cable, the order conforms to international standards);
2 If there is a condition, with the cable Connection checker.
2. Environmental inspection
1) Power Connection check:
A. The wiring definition of mains is correct;
B. Whether there is ground wire;
C. Whether the equipment on the network (such as: HUB, switch, etc.) has been on the electrical work.
2) Cable Connection check:
A. Cable Connection line sequence is connected with the requirements of the network matching (such as direct connection and ordinary network cable);
B. The connectivity of the network cable is normal, to see if the network cable has no damage, excessive distortion;
C. Whether the length of the network cable is too long (such as 5 pairs of twisted wire length exceeding the technical specifications required 100 meters);
D. Cable Connector-Crystal Head is intact, whether oxidation;
E. The NIC interface is intact. Reseat the network cable to check the network cable and NIC connection is loose;
F. The terminator is normal, depending on whether the cable requires a terminator.
