Ajax: improper use may compromise User Experience

Source: Internet

The Ajax technology is applied to web development, and its rapid and responsive page response results have won applause for satisfying users' demands for fast speed and convenient use. However, if the rapid response of the page exceeds your expectation, and the prompt is insufficient, the user experience is not improved but diminished.

Yesterday, when I posted the PHP programmer recruitment information on a recruitment website, I encountered a funny Ajax accident: I clicked the submit button and then waited for the page to jump to the release success prompt page. Wait, wait, this page has never been unresponsive; I had to click submit again, and waited for the n power again, this page still did not respond ...... Then I suddenly found that there was a quiet red text Note below the submit button: The information has been published successfully! I suddenly realized that some people had Ajax! In fact, when I click submit, the following line of text appears, but I didn't notice it.

Why didn't I notice the bold red lines? This is because when a user is expected to transfer to a successful release page, the website's Ajax response results are not clearly marked and fail to fully arouse the user's attention, resulting in self-defeating, "fast" becomes "slow ".

List the Ajax application cases of Gmail for a comparison. When sending an email processing request, such as deleting an email, a long, colorful Adobe block is displayed on the top of the page, the feedback message indicating successful processing is displayed in the color block. The yellow bar is very eye-catching in the background of the entire page:

The Ajax response results are worth learning:

1. Application of color blocks

Compared with text, a large area of color blocks first touch the user's visual sensing, so that the user can immediately notice that the page has a change response, and then read the text;

2. Color Block

Note the color of the Color Block: the golden color is the most eye-catching color, but adding a strong soil color does not visually feel eye-catching, to achieve eye-catching but not arrogant effect;

3. Color Block position

The location appears in the face-to-face and on-top part of the line of sight, which is very eye-catching. You do not need to move the line of sight to notice the result. The recruitment website I submitted showed Ajax results under the submit button, completely unexpected. This bold red letter may work better even if it appears next to the submit button, because there is a process on the right.

Since, a Chinese website has been learning well, that is, it has begun to focus on user experience. However, it is one thing to pay attention to. Whether or not to do well is another thing, like Ajax, the top technology of user experience, otherwise, the user experience is diminished.
