Python is an object-oriented language, in the Python world, everything is an object, an integer is an object, and a string is an object. What's more, the type is also an object, and many objects, including a module, a block of code, a function, and so on, are generated during the execution of the code by the Python virtual machine (interpreter).

I. Classification of Python objects

Python objects can be conceptually divided into 5 categories.

  • Fundamental object: Type Object
  • Numeric objects: Numeric objects
  • Sequence object: A Sequence collection object that holds other objects
  • Mapping Objects: Mapping (association) objects
  • Internal objects: Objects used internally by Python virtual machines at run time
