Apache Configuration Forward Proxy

Background

Proxy, located between the client and the actual server, when the client needs to request service-side content, the agent initiates a request, the agent forwards the request to the actual servers, and then the original path back. You can also set the cache on the proxy server, cache the infrequently changed content on the actual server, and return directly when the client requests arrive, which can improve the response speed and reduce unnecessary network access.

1. Do not know the address of the server that you actually need to access, only know the address of the agent

2. No special configuration required for the agent

The normal application scenario for a forward proxy is to configure a forward proxy for LAN access to external network content, due to out-of-line restrictions, such as firewalls. The client is usually located within the LAN.

Reverse proxy, commonly used in Web applications, the proxy server forwards the actual request of the client back to the actual back-end application server. The server is usually located in a LAN.

• <Proxy> configuration, which qualifies the accessible source, because it is a forward proxy, you need to limit the client requests that can be accessed out of this proxy server, such as:
