ASP. NET Configuration Management-Overview

In ASP. NET, XML files are used for configuration management. All the information of the core settings of an application must be configured, including the specific settings customized for the application, which must be stored in these configuration files.

The configuration file of ASP. NET has several improvements compared with the traditional ASP configuration.

1. The configuration file will not be locked. We can update the configuration settings at any time. ASP. NET will smoothly send it to a new application domain.

2. The configuration file can be easily accessed and copied. You can edit or replace the configuration file on a remote computer as long as you have the corresponding network authorization.

3. The configuration file can be easily edited and understood. The configuration information in the configuration file is readable to the layman, which means that you can edit and understand it without the need for specific configuration tools.
