= = Purpose Introduction = =
Aur's full name is "ArchLinux user-community Repository", that is, ArchLinux community users of the software warehouse. It is dependent on Community contribution packages. This document tells the average user how to use Aur.
==aur and user = =
Software in Aur is provided by community users who do not have technical support and are not guaranteed security (unless they are tu tagged with a security flag). Aur packages are not necessarily maintained and may not be updated in a timely manner. Aur relies entirely on user contributions, and you can contribute to aur in many ways.
= = = Share your pkgbuild=== in the unsupported
Users can share their pkgbuild in Aur. These packages will be marked as unsupported. Unsupported packages are uploaded by the user as Pkgbuild to other users and do not contain any binary files. Other users can provide feedback and suggestions on how to improve the package. The uploaded person needs to pay attention to the message on the information page of the package you uploaded. The TU will mark the package as "safe" after testing to determine if the software you uploaded has no malicious code. However, these are unofficial (TU is also unofficial). So, if you want to use these packages, you are responsible for all the consequences.
So far, there is no official download tool for compiling packages in unsuported, but you can find some tools in the wiki or community.
===[community]===
The software in the [community] Warehouse is a supplement to both the official [current] and [extra] warehouses. There are many popular packages in it. These packages are from unsupported and are maintained by TU. The packages in this warehouse are provided in binary packages and can be installed directly by Pacman. You can also get the source of these packages through ABS.
If you want to add a community warehouse to your Pacman, just add the following statement to your/etc/pacman.conf:
[Community]
Server = ftp://ftp.archlinux.org/community/os/i686/
If you want to download the Community software package in the ABS source code, just find the following line in the/etc/abs/abs.conf file, will community the front of the exclamation mark "! Delete
supfiles= (Arch extra!unstable Community)
= = = Vote = =
One of the simplest things that any arch user can do for Aur is "vote." After registering Aur users, you can vote for your favorite packages. The way to do this is to find "vote" button clicks in the Package information Web page that you are interested in. All packages are eligible to enter the Community warehouse, the number of votes is a standard package selection. So, let's take a positive vote!
