Backup and Restore mbr under CentOS, 1. enter the system as an administrator and use the command ddif =/dev/sdaof =/var/mbrbs = 512 count = 1 to back up the 512-byte mbr record to/var/mbr, here, sda is the hard drive letter 2. use the system installation CD to enter the linux rescue mode. on the boot interface, run the command linuxrescue and press enter to back up and restore mbr under the original CentOS,
1. enter the system as an administrator and use commands
Dd if =/dev/sda of =/var/mbr bs = 512 count = 1
Back up the 512-byte mbr record to/var/mbr, where sda is the hard drive letter.
2. use the system installation CD to enter the linux rescue mode
Use commands on the Wizard interface
Linux rescue press enter,
The original system will be mounted to/mnt/sysimage/
Run
Dd if =/mnt/sysimage/var/mbr of =/dev/sda bs = 512 count = 1
