Basic tasks of oil logging

 The Application and Development of logging technology has added a new method for petroleum exploration, and the data obtained by it has good continuity and integrity. Compared with the drilling center, the system has the advantages of simple construction, high efficiency, and low cost. It also reduces the labor intensity of workers and increases the efficiency of oil exploration and development.

During cable logging construction, the logging instrument is sent to the downhole by a special logging cable. During logging, the winch drum traction cable extracts the instrument at a constant speed. After the physical parameters of the tested formation are obtained by the detector, after preprocessing of the electronic circuit, the recording instrument sent to the ground by the core is recorded, and the corresponding physical parameters are calculated according to a certain proportion, restore data of the same depth to a computer or record paper to produce one or more related and continuously changing curves. This is called a logging curve.If the measured is the natural potential, this curve is called the natural potential curve. If the measured is the resistivity, it is called the Resistivity Curve.

The basic logging tasks are as follows:

1. The Drilling Geological Section is established, and the lithology, oil and gas generation, storage, and cap are divided in detail to accurately determine the depth and thickness of various rock layers.

2. Evaluate the production capacity of oil and gas reservoirs, and quantitatively or semi-quantitatively estimate the reservoir performance of rock layers-that is, the three elements of oil: porosity, permeability, and oil saturation.

3. Evaluate the oil-bearing ability of the reservoir, including determining the effective thickness of the oil and gas layer, movable Oil and Gas Content, fluid density and relative permeability.

4. Conduct Formation Comparison and Study on issues such as structural occurrence and formation deposition.

5. Provide the oil layer dynamic data during oilfield development and study the formation pressure changes.

6. Study the technical conditions of oil wells, such as well skew, well temperature, well diameter and cementing quality.
