Article title: Benchmarking Ubuntu against Windows 7. Linux is a technology channel of the IT lab in China. Including desktop applications, Linux system management, kernel research, embedded systems, open-source, and other basic categories of Windows, it cannot mask the fire of Linux. Windows 7 has a lot of performance tests, but an important question is whether it is faster than GNU/Linux? Therefore, Tuxradar.com uses Ubuntu (8.10 and 9.04), Vista, and Windows 7 X86 and 64-bit versions to perform some tests on machines with the same configuration. The system tested the installation time, the hard disk space used for standard installation, the start time and shutdown time, the time from USB to the hard disk, and the copy time from the hard disk to the hard disk. The first two tests are of little significance. Windows is well known to be bloated, and other tests may be of reference value. Ubuntu is ahead of Windows 7 in multiple tests and often scored twice as much as the latter.
