Basic parameter setting of "Standardcmossetup" system

The main function of this option is to set the system basic parameters. The user can choose the item to be set by the way of moving the light bar, and use the key to modify the content. In each of these options, you can press the key to display the selection of this option.

Date (date) sets the current day. The range can be set to:

Month (months): 1 to 12

Day (days): 1 to 31

Year (years): to 2079

Time (time) to set the current period. The range can be set to:

Hour (hours): 00 to 23

Minu7te (minutes): 00 to 59

Second (seconds): 00 to 59

Harddisks (HDD)

This option is used to set all IDE hard drives in the system (Primarymaster/slave; Secondarymaster/slave) type. The options are described below:

Auto: Allows the system to automatically detect and set the type of drive when booting.

None: The hard drive is not installed.

User: Allows the user to set the relevant parameters of the drive itself. Includes cyls (number of magnetic cylinders), head (read-write head count), Precomp (write pre-compensation), Landz (put position). The specifications attached to the hard drive are stopped by the heads of the actuator.

[Please note that the]:bios does not support SCSI HDD settings.]

There are three types of mode options:

Normal mode: Supports HDD capacity up to 528MB for traditional standard mode.

LBA (logicalblockaddressingmode) mode: For those with a hard drive capacity exceeding and supporting logical block Addressing (LBA) capabilities.

Large mode: This option is available when the HDD capacity exceeds 528MB and the hard drive or operating system does not support LBA mode.

Drivera/driverb (None)

This option sets the type of floppy disk drive, the items to be selected are: 360kb,5.25in;1.2mb,5.25in;720kb,3.5in;1.44mb,3.5in;2.88mb,3.5in; None of the six types.

Floppy3modesupport (default value is disable)

If you use the floppy disk machine (Floppy3mode) in Japanese standard mode, set it. Otherwise, please cancel (disable) this setting function. There are Rivea, driveb, both, disable and other items to choose from.

Video (video display card mode, default value is EGA/VGA)

To set the type of display card, the items to be selected are mono (monochrome), EGA/VGA (color), CGA40,CGA80.

HaltOn (suspend power on, default is Allerror)

This column sets what type of exception will cause the system to suspend the boot, the items available for selection are:

Allerrors: There are any errors, the system displays an error message and pauses the boot.

Noerrors: The system is switched on as usual, regardless of any error.

All,butkeyboard: There are any errors, the system halts the boot, but the keyboard abnormality will be switched on as usual

All,butdisk/key: There are any errors, the system halts the boot, but the disk drive and keyboard abnormalities are turned on as usual.

"Biosfeaturessetup" bios special parameter setting

This setting can enhance the performance of your system according to your system and requirements, but it is recommended that you use the default value if you do not understand the set function. The operation method of the function key is described in the lower right of the main screen of this setting. The BIOS special parameter setting function is described as follows:

Viruswarning Virus Protection Warning (default value is disable)

This feature prevents the boot sector and partition of the hard drive from being changed, and any attempt to write to the zone will cause the system to appear with a warning message.

[Note]: When you install a new operating system (such as Win95), please first cancel (disable) This feature, so as not to be able to successfully install the conflict.

Cpuinternalcache (CPU internal cache, default is enable)

This feature is useful for enabling (enable) or canceling (disable) CPULevel1 caching. In terms of overall speed, enabling L1 cache is much higher than canceling L1 cache. Therefore, the default value is enabled (enable).

Externalcache (external cache function, enable by default)

This feature is useful for enabling (enable) or canceling (disable) CPULevel2 caching. In terms of overall speed, enabling L2 cache is much higher than canceling L2 cache. Therefore, the default value is enabled (enable). PENTIUMPROCPU has built-in L2 cache.

Quickpoweronselftest (Fast boot self test, default = enable)

When the computer is powered on, the BIOS performs a series of self-tests of the boot. When this feature is enabled, tests of the same project are streamlined and skipped to shorten the boot time.

Hddsequencescsi/idefirst (IDE/SCSI HDD boot priority, IDE default)

When installing both SCSI and IDE hard drives, this option allows you to select a SCSI or IDE hard disk as the boot drive.

Bootsequence (boot order, default value is C,a)

This option sets the priority for booting from a, C, and CD-ROM when the computer is powered on.

Swapfloppydrive (floppy disk machine interchange, default value is disable)

When this feature is enabled (enable), A/b disc is exchanged. That is, the original a disc was designated as B disc, B disc was designated as a disc. In this way, you do not need to turn on the chassis swap line.

Bootupfloppyseek (boot floppy search, default value is disable)

When this function is enabled, the BIOS Post program detects if the floppy is present when the computer is powered on. Otherwise, this detection action is skipped.

Floppydiskaccesscontrol (Floppy access control read/fetch, default value is r/w)

This function is mainly used to control floppy disk access. When "ReadOnly" is selected, the data can only be read by the floppy disk, but the system data cannot be copied to the floppy disk, when the r/w is selected, the floppy disk can read the data normally.

On: Digital key set to digital status when power on

OFF: The digital key is set to the orientation state when booting

Idehddblockmodesectors (IDE hard disk sector setting, default value is Hddmax)

Most modern IDE hard drives support the ability to transfer multiple sectors at once. Enable this feature to speed up hard disk access. Options are hddmax,disabled,2,4,8,16, and 32.

Typematicdelay (Input delay time, default value is 250ms)

When the key is not placed, the keyboard will repeat the input character at a certain rate after the set delay time is exceeded. Options are 250ms,500ms,750ms,1000ms.

Securityoption (security option setting, default value is System)

This option sets the time to require the user to enter a password, with the following two options ystem: Each time you turn on the computer, you will be asked to enter the correct password, otherwise you won't be able to boot. Setup: The system will only ask for the correct password when entering the BIOS settings.

Ps/2mousefunctioncontrol (PS/2 mouse function control, default value is Auto)

If set to Auto: The system will detect if the PS/2 mouse is present when it is turned on. If present, the IRQ12 is reserved for ps/2mouse use. If set to disable: Then IRQ12 reserved for adapter card use, at this time PS/2 mouse does not work.

Pci/vgapalettesnoop (default value is disable)

If using a non-standard VGA card (such as an image accelerator card · eg card) Sometimes the color is not displayed properly, and setting this to "enable" will resolve the issue. In addition to this, we recommend using the default values.

OS/2ONBOARDMEMORY>64M (default value is disable)

If the operating system uses OS/2, and the installed main memory capacity of more than 64MB is set to enable (enable), otherwise set to the default value of disable.

Activate this function, the VGA BIOS is copied to the main memory to speed up the execution speed, if canceled (disable) This function, the display speed will become very slow.

C8000-CBFFFTODC000-DFFFF (default value is disable)

If you use a different adapter card, when you select this feature, the system will use shadow technology to speed up the execution of the ROM on the adapter card. However, this will occupy the space of the main memory.

"Chipsetfeaturessetup" chipset parameter settings:

This option is designed to adjust the performance of hardware files by setting the parameters of the chipset. If you are not familiar with these settings, we recommend that you use the default values.

Autoconfiguration (auto set, default value is 60nsDRAM)

You can select the 60mdramor70nsdram option according to the memory you are using, and the BIOS automatically adjusts the 2nd to 9th option based on your settings. If you select "Disable" (cancel), the 2nd to 9th options are self-adjusting.

Sdramcas#latency (default value is 3T)
