BlackBerry Widget Development

To better support Web applications on mobile phones and provide better user experience and results. blackBerry provides a Widget development platform. based on the Support Technology of BlackBerry Browser, Widgets provide comprehensive support for HTML, CSS, and Javascript. At the same time, through the platform API provided by BlackBerry, widgets can be seamlessly integrated into the BlackBerry solution, the PUSH technology, including BlackBerry, can be applied to the Widget development process.

Download development tools

Before developing widgets, developers need to download the corresponding development tool, BlackBerry Widget SDK, which provides some command line tools for packaging and compiling widgets. BlackBerry also provides Webplug-in designed for Eclipse. Through this plug-in, it provides a series of graphical development guidance. The text is developed based on Eclipse's Webplug-in.

Development procedure

Step 1

Start Eclipse, File New Project, select BlackBerry Widget Project, and then select Next:
