Build a network in Linux

Set up a network in Linux-Linux Enterprise Application-Linux server application information. The following is a detailed description. The first step to build a small LAN is to allocate IP addresses. Because it is an internal network, you can use the internet RFC 1597 to reserve the private IP address for the inline network. Class A network: 10.0.0.0; Class B network: 172.16.0.0 to 172.31.0.0; Class C Network: 192.168.1.0 to 192.168.255.0.

Computers on the Internet do not use any of the above IP addresses. They are strictly retained for use on the Intranet. Any datagram containing the above reserved addresses cannot be recognized by the Internet or vro.

So far, the work should be completed in the following two parts:
1. A network card is installed for each computer;
2. select an appropriate network IP address for the created Intranet and assign an IP address to each computer in the network.
Next we will build our own network.

The first step in constructing an intranet is to carefully develop the plan. On the computer end, the network cable is connected to the wall socket, and the wall socket is preferably close to the telephone line socket. On the hub end, the network cable is connected to the distribution frame. Place the hub and distribution frame in the middle of the network as much as possible. Draw the cabling lines on the paper and mark the positions of each computer, hub, and distribution frame.

Step 2: Prepare relevant tools and raw materials. The details are as follows: one or more hubs; one distribution frame; wall sockets for internal networking connections; twisted pair wires; wiring dingtalk and dingtalk; positive RJ-45 plug; five types of connection cables (each computer requires two cables, one for connecting the computer and the wall socket, and the other for connecting the hub and distribution rack ).

The third step is the interconnection of twisted pair wires. There are two key components in this section: A crossover cable and a twisted pair wire connection test. For the former, we will not introduce it here. I would like to introduce you to the test without using a cable tester.

You can use two workstation for testing. Most Nic setup groups include test programs that can be used to test the connectivity of NICs of the same manufacturer and type. You can use an existing network cable to connect two computers to the same hub and run the test program.

After the program exchanges frames with the other end, the user can determine that all devices are in good condition.
