Centos SolusVM installation tutorial

SolusVM is a VPS management system with a powerful graphical user interface. it can manage three virtualization technologies at the same time: OpenVZ, XenParavirtualization, and XenHVM. Customers who have used this software to activate VPS in the United States will feel that it is safe and convenient. The preparation before installation is divided into two parts. One is the SolusVM part and the other is the server part. Preparations

Preparations before installation are divided into two parts. One is the SolusVM part and the other is the server part.

First of all, we understand what SolusVM includes, and purchase authorization. this is required. I do not recommend using PJ or D source code abroad (it seems that there is no such version of SolusVM ), will be despised and lost. SolusVM authorization includes master control and control. the master control generally costs 10 USD per month and 2.5 USD per month. One master can control multiple controlled servers. Therefore, you must buy at least one master Authorization. in addition to being able to install it on the server, you can also install it on VPS. I am here to save trouble, directly install it on the server.

The following section describes the server, including partitioning and operating system installation. We use OpenVZ as an example. for server partitions, we can simply specify/boot = 100 M,/swap according to your memory,/= 10 GB, the rest of the space is allocated to/vz, because your chicks and system templates must be placed here and must be larger. Note that, especially when you are charged for XEN or KVM, you need to think about it in advance, and the partition may be slightly different.

We also need to install the operating system on the server. SolusVM supports CentOS 5/6 * RHEL 5/6 * Scientific Linux 5/6. I personally prefer CentOS 6. Many servers do not provide KVM or IPMI, and many reinstallation systems are charged only once a month for free. Therefore, please plan and consider before installation.

Install SolusVM

Okay, after everything is ready, start SolusVM installation. it's very simple. just like compiling LNMP, SSH logs on to the server and several lines of commands will start. please refer to the command:

After the execution, there are some options, please look down.

Press enter to continue and press ctrl + c to exit.

Select the operating system. I use CentOS6, so select the second one.

Select the SolusVM version to be installed.

Select the fastest image file location. 1 indicates automatic detection.

In this step, select the mode you want to install and control the master. After this step is selected, there is another press enter, and of course there is also a chance to exit (press ctrl + c to exit), and then you need to wait. SolusVM installation is fast. after the installation is complete, use IP + 5353/admincp (Port 5656 is used for SSL). the user name and password are both vpsadmin logon.
