Ubuntu default Chinese character encoding for zh_CN.UTF-8, this can be in
/Etc/environment:
Sudo gedit/etc/environment
You can see the following content:
PATH = "/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/games"
LANG = "zh_CN.UTF-8"
The second line of LANGUAGE = "zh_CN: zh: en_US: en" is the default Chinese character encoding. Note: You can modify the default Chinese character encoding here, for example, zh_CN.GBK.
