The Colrm command can remove specified columns from a file and provide input from a standard input file. the output is also standard output.

EXAMPLE

Suppose:

File:Text. file

Content:123456789

Example 1.

$ Colrm 4 <test. file: The content in test. file is 123 # Removed From Column 4

Example 2.

$ Colrm 4 6 <test. file: The content in test. file is 123789 # Remove column 4 to column 6.
Example 3.
$ Colrm 4 6 <test. file> test. file1: output the file removed from test. file to test. file1_3789.
