Fault Cause:

After connecting a workstation to several ports on the switch, you cannot Ping other computers in the LAN, but the "local connection" icon on the desktop still shows network connectivity.

Cause and solution:

First, check whether the Ping computers have installed firewalls. L3 switches can be configured with VLAN Virtual LAN). workstations in different VLANs cannot be pinged without routing. Therefore, you need to modify VLAN settings so that they are in one VLAN, or set a route to enable communication between VLANs.

This is a typical switch crash phenomenon, which can be solved by restarting the switch. If the fault persists after the switch is restarted, check all the computers connected to the switch, and find the computer that is disconnected one by one, most of them are caused by network card faults on a computer.

Fault Cause:

A port of a vswitch with the network management function becomes very slow, which slows down the entire vswitch or the entire stack. Check the status of the vswitch on the console and find that the buffer pool of the vswitch is growing very fast, reaching 90% or more.

Cause and solution:

First, you should use another computer to replace the original connection on this port to check whether it is caused by the network failure of the computer connected to this port, you can also reset the wrong port and restart the switch. In some cases, this port may be damaged.
