Compile GDAL and FreeImage in Linux-general Linux technology-Linux programming and kernel information. The following is a detailed description. Today, we finally compiled FreeImage and GDAL in ubuntu and can run it. Here is a summary:

1. Because FreeImage and GDAL are both installed with the new version, they are generally in the default path. during compilation, except for GDAL, you must specify the path-I/usr/include/gdal, you do not need to specify the path

2. Both of them require lib support. GDAL is gdal_ I .lib in windows, but this file is not available in Linux. You can use gdal-config to know that the file name is gdal1.4.0. FreeImage uses-lfreeimage directly and it is OK. Pay attention to the Case sensitivity.

In the future, I plan to write these programs directly in linux.
