Compile nginx on DebainSarge or Etch

Here we record the process of installing nginx In Debian Linux (Sarge 3.1 or Etch 4.0:

First install some necessary library functions:
Apt-get install zlib1g-dev libpcre3 libgcrypt11-dev libpcre3-dev libssl-dev

Download nginx's latest package (to http://nginx.net/download, latest version 0.5.20 ).

After decompression, go to the directory to start Configuration:

./Configure -- with-md5 =/usr/lib -- with-openssl =/usr/lib/ssl/
Make
Make install

Now nginx has been installed successfully. The executable file is/usr/local/sbin/nginx, And the configuration file is in/usr/local/nginx/conf, logs are recorded in/usr/local/nginx/logs /.

Modify nginx.txt to nginx and put it in the/etc/init. d/directory. Finally, the nginx script is automatically called every time it is started.
