Many users have chosen Windwos XP and Windows Vista to form a dual system that will allow you to experience vista well and switch to XP to complete the "impossible task" under Vista system.
The author is following the idea of installing a dual system, but in the format of the Vsita partition to restart the machine, there is a problem (as shown in Figure 1). I was obviously in the format of the C disk (XP partition) under the root of the "boot.ini" file changes, why will this happen?

Small tip:
Users with dual systems will need to modify the boot files under another system after removing one of the systems, otherwise a "boot from the default operating system" hint similar to the above.
This problem is actually caused by no modification of the startup file. I just deleted the Vista boot information, but didn't change the corresponding partition number (Figure 2).
Punch in the C:\boot.ini file, find the corresponding partition number in the parameter row (Figure 2), then change the "3" to "1", Save the settings and exit Notepad.

Small knowledge:
When a user deletes a system from a dual system (in this case, for example), it is not easy to delete the "redundant" Partition Guide information, it is necessary to change the corresponding partition parameter number. For example, in this article, you can Change "partition (X)" to "Partition (1)".
What needs to be specially explained is, the author deletes Vista, just for temporary work needs, and then will continue to use dual system, so use a "no technical content" Uninstall method. If you need a more thorough uninstall of Vista, please continue to "Browse the next page".
Vista system, you can refer to the following methods. This approach may seem complicated, but when you read it carefully, you'll find that it's simple, just a few more commands.
