Background: A colleague installed XP in a Sony notebook. "Operating system not found" cannot be entered into the system during startup

Diagnosis:

Determine hard disk faults. However, there is no abnormal sound.

Press f2 to enter BIOS settings. Hard Disk not recognized.

Therefore, it is determined that the hard disk is not properly connected. Shut down, remove the laptop battery, split the back cover of the Sony notebook, and remove the hard drive wiring.

Replace a hard disk. You can recognize it. Indicates that the motherboard is not damaged.

Re-unplug the original hard disk, choose the last correct configuration at boot, and recover from failure. Everything is normal.
