First, the operation on the host:
When the host is properly installed with a driver and a normal printer, do the following:
1, into the "Control Panel" in the "Equipment and Printers" (WinXP system for "Printers and Faxes"), in the printer driver icon click on "Printer Properties";
2, enter the "Printer properties", click the "Sharing" tab, check "Share this printer" and confirm that the host settings are shared at this time.
Second, the client connects the host driver two kinds of methods:
1 in the client open the Run interface (shortcut for the window key +r), enter "\ Host IP Address" (please query the host's correct IP address on the host), and then click OK, will directly login to the host.
2 Login to the host interface, in the need to connect the printed icon on the right click, select the connection;
3 Connect Midway Prompt "Do you trust this printer?" "Select Install driver." If the host and client systems are different, you may be prompted to find the driver, click OK, then choose to browse the computer, browse to the driver folder to install the file.
4 after installation, the client computer in the "Device and printer" will appear in the new printer icon, set to the default printer after the normal printer.
1 in the client's "Device and Printer" interface, click Add Printer, and click "Add Local Printer";
2 Select "Create New Port" in Select Printer Port option, Port type select "Local Port" click Next. The Port name input box appears;
Enter the \ Host IP address \ Printer share name in the input box. The host IP address needs to query the IP address for input from the host, and the printer share name needs to be viewed in the shared printer driver properties of the host. For example, your host has an IP address of 192.168.1.2, and a shared printer on the host has a share name of 123. Then the input format is \\192.168.1.2\123
3 Enter the port information in the format, OK and Next, the "Install printer Driver" interface appears, and if you cannot find your Lenovo printer model driver in the manufacturer and printer model selection box, click "Install from Disk" to browse to the driver file in your printer's driver folder for installation, as shown below:
4 installation finished, in the client's "Device and printer" can see the newly added printer icon, see the port for the previous input port information, you can print use.
Note: If the above methods cannot be shared, it may be because the host's security policy or permission restrictions have prevented the sharing from being implemented. You need to contact your system maintenance or network administrator for assistance.
