Configure adsl dial-up Internet access in Ubuntu

Dial for the first time: Open the application-System Tools-terminal (if there is no system tool menu item in the application, open system settings-Add the application menu item in the main menu) and open the terminal, enter the command: sudopppoeconf and follow the prompts to start next step. Enter the adsl user name and password in the middle. After the configuration is complete, you will be prompted whether to automatically connect when the system is started. If you select Yes, the system will automatically dial the Internet connection every time you log on to Ubuntu. In the future, you need to manually dial, open the terminal, and enter the name of the first dial:

Sudo pppoeconf

In the future, you need to manually dial, open the terminal, and enter the command:

Sudo pon dsl-provider

Manual disconnection:

Sudo poff

View connection information:

Plog and ifconfig ppp0

Ifconfig ppp0 can be used to query the Internet IP address of the local machine.
