Ati and amd recently announced their latest drivers, declaring support for Ubuntu8.04.

The package address is:
Http://www2.ati.com/drivers/linux/ati-driver-installer-8-7-x86.x86_64.run
After downloading this package, enter the following in the terminal:
Sudo-s-H // obtain the permission
Enter the directory of the downloaded package and enter:
Sh ati-driver-installer-8-7-x86.x86_64.run // run the corresponding package
After entering the program, install it by default.
After installation is complete, the machine can hear the sound of restart, but the screen remains unchanged.
Wait for the close button and press it.
Reconnect to the terminal and enter:
Sudo aticonfig -- initial
Then enter:
Sudo reboot
After the machine is restarted, enter the terminal and enter:
$ Fglrxinfo
If the installation is completed, you can enjoy the 3D effect.
