Install Fedora 16 for Thinkpad T420 RW1, whether it is hard-ware compatible (TP can be used normally) or the system smoothness is N times better than that of Fedora 15, of course there are some minor bugs, such as the following.

After installing the system, there is a problem when setting the shortcut key. In my Emacs, the Ctrl key is used normally, but in Gnome 3.2, the system settings => keyboard => shortcut key is set in the shortcut key, the shortcut key of the terminal is disable. When you reset the key, you cannot press Ctrl. Therefore, you can only change the configuration file of gnome3.2.

1) first install dconf-editor (gnome configuration editor) $ sudo yum install dconf-editor-y

2) confirm the Startup Program path (gnome-terminal is used as an example here) $ type gnome-terminal

3) Open the "configuration editor dconf-editor" just installed in the application. (You can also press ALT + F2 and enter dconf-editor to open it)

4) in the configuration Editor, select the apps> metacity> keybinding_commands folder and select a command (command_1 to command_12 by default). Suppose we select command_1, edit the value of the program to be executed. What we want to add is/usr/bin/gnome-terminal.

5) Select the global_keybindings directory under the metacity directory, find the command_1 (Name: run_command_1) that we have previously assigned a value, and edit its value as the shortcut key we want to set, such T (note the format) indicates the shortcut key T open the terminal.
