CVS status during update

When CVS Update-ad is used, terminal will display the following:

C XX. v

The first letter: p u? C m A stands for the following:

? ====> Not in CVS

A ====> new addition (added locally, but not commit)

C ====> conflict (in case of a conflict, multiple people may edit the same file at the same time)

M ====> modify (modified but not submitted)

P ====> patch (similar to U, but less data is transferred than U)

U ====> Update (update a local file or download a new file)

R ====> Delete (deleted file but not commit)
