# Dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg

Select a graphics chip
Nvidia selection nv

Press enter until the system detects the monitor.

Select resolution
1280 × 800
Select Monitor's best video mode:

If there is no 1280x800, You have to select 1024x768 @ 60Hz (which of the following options can be selected here ?) Select the nearest

Color Depth: 24
OK

Back up the system and rewrite/etc/X11/xorg. conf

Restart X.
