Debian adjusts the resolution in a wide-screen notebook-Debian information in the Linux release. For more information, see the following. In the previous installation of the ASUS wide-screen notebook, the installation language was set to Chinese and the desktop system was selected. During the installation process, many things can be used without configuration, but many unwanted software will be installed. This time, we started from base system. After installing x, the resolution was 1204 × 768. It took 60Hz a few hours to get 1280 × 800. Let's record it and share it with you.

# Dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg

Select a graphics chip
Nvidia selection nv

Press enter until the system detects the monitor.

Select resolution
1280 × 800
Select Monitor's best video mode:

If there is no 1280x800, You have to select 1024x768 @ 60Hz (which of the following options can be selected here ?) Select the nearest

Color Depth: 24
OK

Back up the system and rewrite/etc/X11/xorg. conf

Restart X.
