Debian install compizfusion

Debian: Install compizfusion-Debian, a Linux release technology. For more information, see the following. Prerequisites
The most basic prerequisite is that 3D acceleration is enabled. In addition, this article passes the test under Debian testing (lenny) and sid, and does not test etch.

The test method is as follows:

# Apt-get install mesa-utils
Check whether direct rendering exists:

# Glxinfo | grep 'direct rending'
If direct rendering: Yes is output, 3D acceleration is usually enabled. Otherwise, 3D acceleration is not enabled. See the following 3D acceleration configuration method.

# Glxgears
The output should be smooth, and does not occupy much CPU.

If 3D acceleration is not enabled:

First, make sure that the video card has been driven

Debian install nvidia driver
Debian install atidriver
Intel does not require additional Driver Installation
If it is not an nvidia graphics card, you also need to enable AIGLX (or XGL). Versions later than xorg 7.1 have AIGLX, but you may still need to configure xorg. conf.

After the configuration is complete, try again according to the previous test method to see if 3D acceleration is enabled.

Install compiz fusion
Someone has prepared the deb package. Add a line to/etc/apt/sources. list:

Then

For gnome users:

# Apt-get install compiz-fusion-gnome
For kde users:

# Apt-get install compiz-fusion-kde
Start compiz fusion:

The setting of enabling the flame effect on fusion-icon is as follows: Enable the Aladdin magic light (Animations special effect) in CompizConfig. First, open the first tab, Close Animation ), this is about closing the window and deleting the old Three effects. add a new one, and select Burn for effect. You can select the one in the middle and select the one based on your own effect, windows match input: type = Normal | Dialog | ModalDialog | Utility | Unknown | Menu | PopupMenu | DropdownMenu, dialog box, menu meaning, you can choose according to your needs.

Then: the Burn Effect corresponds to the Fire in Effect Settings on the second tab. After the drop-down, you can set the size, quantity, and color of the flame particles and set the smoke Effect. I use the default value.
