Debian installation for qgis0.8svn-Debian Technology for Linux release-the following is a detailed description. We have already used checkinstall to create the deb package of qgis 0.8svn. Now we may be able to package it in a more debian mode:
First, update the Code:
Svn up
Download the debian package of qgis 0.7.4 from www.debian.org or DEBIAN gis, unbind it, and copy the debian directory to the qgis 0.8svn directory.
Modify:
1. Delete the two files under the patches. The two patches are no longer used. It may be okay if they are not deleted. They are not called during packaging.
2. Modify the control file, set qt3 to qt4, and adjust the corresponding software package, including gdal.
3. modify the rules file, adjust the corresponding compilation parameters, or add the desired parameters.
4. Modify the three *. install Files and adjust the corresponding directories and files. Do not miss or repeat them.
