Debian system installation X-Linux Release Technology-Debian information. The following is a detailed description. 1. Use vi to modify/etc/apt/sources. list and change all stable values to etch (test version) or sid (unstable version ). Add contrib non-free after all main.

2. install zhcon: apt-get install zhcon. During the installation process, you are prompted to select the default value. (If you have any questions in the future, select the default value if you do not have any special instructions ). If zhcon has been installed, it can be omitted. This software is used to display Chinese characters on the text interface.

3. Run zhcon. (enter zhcon in the command line ).

4. update the source list apt-get update.

Upgrade apt-get dist-upgrade in version 5. (If you do not want to upgrade the version, use apt-get upgrade.) (I chose the latter)

6 configure locale: dpkg-reconfiguer locales, select en_US iso9660 en_US UTF-8, Chinese in addition to the default and then choose zh_CN UTF-8, GTK, and zh_TW UTF-8, GTK, the default value is zh_CN.utf-8. ()

7. install vim: apt-get install vim.

8. Install the latest kernel. This step is important. We recommend that you upgrade the kernel so that your host cannot enter x-window because the hardware cannot be identified.

Apt-get install linux-image

Choose the kernel installation suitable for your sub-architecture. (In the basic system installation, I have selected the latest kernel version. You do not need to perform this step)

9 install x-window after restart:

Apt-get install x-window-system-core

(Install the full version with apt-get install x-window-system)

Input startx at 10 to view x.
