Decimal precision in C # data types is higher than double

Decimal 128bit Size Significant number: 28~29, although the decimal type has a higher precision than a floating-point type, it has a smaller range. It is possible for a double to decimal to have an overflow error, in addition, the decimal is slightly slower to calculate.

Console.WriteLine (1.618031234567895);

Output results: 1.61803123456789

The last number 5 is missing, which matches our expectation of the double type precision.

To display a number with full precision, the literal value must be declared as a decimal type, which is achieved by appending a m (or m):

Console.WriteLine (1.618031234567895m);

Output results: 1.618031234567895

Decimal is represented by m because this data type is often used in currency (monetary) calculations.
