If you want to delete several key-value entries from a subkey, you can select a string of adjacent key-value entries. Click the first key value entry, hold down the Shift key, and then click the most key value entry. If you want to delete several nonadjacent key-value entries, hold down the CTRL key and click each key value item you want to delete, and then press the "Delet" key to remove any key-value items that are selected. However, Registry Editor subkeys do not support this operation, so only one can be deleted at a time.
If you delete one of the subkeys in the registry, you also delete each subkey that is contained within the subkey and each key value entry. Before deleting a registry subkey or key value entry, it is recommended that you save it by using the Regedit Export Registry file feature. You can also create a special directory user on your hard disk to store this type of export file. If you delete the subkey or key value, everything is working for a few days, and then the exported file is deleted. If there is a problem, import the files and restore them to the state before the deletion.
